The original Empress from my tarot deck.

The Empress is about nurturing yourself, embracing creativity, and remembering to make room for joy. My interpretation of this card explores what happens when the demands and distractions of everyday life leave us feeling jaded, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the things that bring us happiness. Sometimes the best thing we can do is step away for a while and give ourselves permission to simply enjoy being alive.

That might mean spending time in nature, taking a long bath, creating something just for the joy of it, or sharing a peaceful moment with someone you love. The Empress reminds us that caring for ourselves also gives us more room to care for the people and relationships that matter to us. When life becomes too noisy, it is okay to stop and make space for the things that make you feel alive again.

This is the original painting created for the tarot deck, the actual artwork used to create the card, rather than a print or reproduction.

The painting is ready to find a new home with someone who connects with her.
